Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..

404J, shortened 30-30, 5.56X50R, 222 mag or 204 ruger and 357 mag.

The 17 looks kinda like the 17 saunders.

Other than the fun that we have creating wildcats, have you "built a better mousetrap"?No offense intended. Over the years whenever I thought a "new" idea,I'd pull Parker's volume+ found that he did it years before.I would be interested in your performance data. Thanks + keep thinking.

1 .458 Win Mag with belt turned off.
2 .357 Mag case necked to .318
3 .222 Rimmed, necked to .30
4 .223 Rem case shortened by .060"
5 .310 Greener cadet case necked to .17

No, I don't think I've invented something new, most stuff has been done before, but I like fiddling with things. Smiler

Performance wise, the .408 gives me 2100fps with a 400g bullet and the slim case fits and feeds better from a standard M98 mag.
We haven't shot the 8x33 yet, so don't know.
The 30-25-150 is built on a Low wall Winchester, is sweet as to shoot and is very accurate for a cast boolit rifle. 1500-1600fps with cast.
I made the 224 Nickal, to fit into a dedicated .222 mag, on a BRNO 601 action. It has the same COL as the .222, but gives the performance of a .223.
The .17 Nickal is only a shade behind the .17 Bee and fits the Martini Cadet action, without any modifications.
