Has anyone built a 6.5mm/.264 Wildcat off of the .300 Winchester Mag case?

If so what are your thoughts?

People already have trouble getting a barrel long enough and powder slow enough to get much performance incease in a 264wmag over a 6.5-06. Looking at the larger 6.5-300Wby and 6.5STW case don't add much as well. I sure wouldn't go to any expense to add 7 grs of capacity.

Just as info. Running QL with a 26" barrel 130AB and a slow powder like 870 adding 7grs of case capacity allow me to increase max charge by 2.78grs and gave 19fps increase. 4% charge increase and .5% velocity. Keeping a 264 case and seating the bullet to 3.60" gains you 8fps

I think Finn Agaard built a 6.5x300 Win. He wrote about it in American Rifleman several years ago. He did not find it to offer any advantage over the 264 WM.
