Folks, I am hoping to find info on a 6mm jet cartridge. I found a custom built rifle from the mid 60's built by a fellow from Akron, Ohio whose last name was Trunsky. The heavy barrel's only marking are 6mm jet. The cases are .243 Win, but I believe in a wildcat form. The bolt action has the markings L579, it is custom built. I believe it is a commercial action, not a reworked mauser action. Did Sako make a L579 action. If anyone has a info on this cartridge and action or rifle maker, I would appreciate your input. Thanks HH in Pa aka R Thomas

The action is definitely Sako. As for the cartridge, I have seen one at a show years ago on a Remington 722, and I believe it was a 6mm on the 22-250 case. But the memory is hazy...

Ted; Thank you for your reply. The handloaded cases were headstamped .243 Win cases that I saw. The older gentleman seeling this is 80, and shy on details. Thanks again. R Thomas
