..... also known as the 9.3-338. Does anyone have chronographed muzzle velocitys with this cartridge and 285/286 projectiles ?

I would imagine it'll be in the 2500fps range, depending on barrel length.

I tend to use more than enough gun

60gr H4895 = 2505 fps. That's a mild load.

My rifle is completely finished now. It has a 23" barrel. As soon as it warms up, and the snow melts, I'll try some more. I suspect that it's possible to get 2600 fps, expecially with RL 15.

I easily got over 2800 fps with the 250gr Nosler AB.

I built two of these in 2008 and did some work with them during up to about November that year. I had received my own 9.3 B&M and never went back to them because of the size.

The 9.3/338Win is a wonderful cartridge, and in my mind far exceeds the standard 338Win. Both my rifles have 22 inch barrels, both are Winchester M70s that were 300 Wins to begin with. A very easy conversion. I never pushed it, and lost interest in the rifles. I ran 250s to 2750 fps with zero issues or complaints with RL15, WW760, and IMR4350.

With various 286 gr bullets, RL15 ran them from 2525 to 2550. WW760 did well as did IMR4350. All getting 2525 to 2550.

Like I said, I never really got to the point of pushing them. And remember, the barrels were 22 inches.

Well Biebs, No mouse problems anymore! 9.3 makes a fine mouse gun if you pick the right bullet!
