Short chambering 204R to 221 Fireball length???? is that a 20VT??

HI

If I get the Gsmith to run a 204R reamer into the barrel to 221 Fireball go-guage length- how close would that be to a 20 VT??

What I plan to do is get the Gsmith to run the reamer in short (221FB length) and then get hin to cut down a set of 204R FLS and the seating dies to suit the chamber he's cut.

How close would this chamber be to a 20 Vt chamber??

What sort of velocity do you think I could get with the 39 BK?

You'd have to look at the chamber dimensions of the 204, and with the body angle, figure out what dia base the chamber will be. It should be fairly close, but the base of the chamber might be too tight to allow the brass to chamber.
