Thats right around the old .404 Jeffery loads from Kynoch back in the day... Damn... And 350gr. right around 2350fps... not bad!

Can it load the 400gr. pills out to say 2,200? Or would that exceed the OAL for that round? With a modern gun, that would make a good entry-level DGR round, low recoil, plenty of weight and velocity for big stuff, close to the old .404 ballistics...

This is a fun gun to shoot. Follow the loads listed on the Z-Hat site. Absolutely no problems making brass, loading or shooting this cartridge. Very pleasant to shoot as well with only 63 grains of H4895 powder under a 300 grain bullet for vel of around 2450 fps or so. A low pressure cartridge.
