| What do you want to do with it? The 25 WSSM is a heck of a varmint/deer cartridge as it stands and the factory ammo is great!

| I am working on getting my 25 WSSM worked in to a 6.5 WSSM. One thing i am noticing is that when i did some dummy rounds yesterday they may not feed right when using Match bullets over 140gr do to there legth but gun is still in .25 WSSM wating on barrle but it might work yet with some reworking of the feed ramp....

| I was just looking at that. I screwed a fast twist 223WSSM barrel onto a Savage WSM action a couple of years ago, and with the long bullets, it feeds "almost" right. Not much room left in the mag with the 75's seated long. Might be better to use a WSM action and fiddle with the mag box to make it work. JMO, Dutch.

| Chamber wouldn`t be a problem! Rent the 25 WSSM and headspace then do the neck with a neck/throat or 6.5 Swede. Dies from C&H4D will cost about 60.00 Try it first with an El-Cheapo A&B barrel. Good luck. Aloha, Mark

| It's been used by the long range benchrest shooters for a couple of years now. Boyd Heaton probably got it on the 'net first or at least close: The alternative to using a second reamer for the neck is to turn the necks on the 25 WSSM cases since they are too thick anyway. Then use a throating reamer for the specific bullet(s) that you want to use. It's still two reamers but the cases perform better, I think. Performance is very close to the 6.5 x 55 or similar catridges with a similar case capacity. Enjoy the project. |

| I finished one up a few weeks ago on a 25WSSM action. 130 triple shocks are going 2905 fps with H4350. It still needs more load evelopment, and I probably go with a lighter bullet for the deer around here. So far it's fun. |
