I shoot various 160gr bullets in my .280, but I use it as an elk/deer round. For deer & antelope out to 400yds, any of the good 140-150gr bullets will work fine. I don't like NBTs but the Nosler 140grAB or NP or Hornady Interloks would be a good choice.

I shoot nbt 150 thru my 280ai and dropped a cow elk this year in Colo. that weighed about 600 pounds with 1 shot and she never took a step. i won't shoot anything else. Deano
I used various weights for years. I pretty much now run a 140 Nosler Part and use it for everything. From small Texas Whitetails to good size Elk. All with great results.

My 280IMp is set up to shoot 140s and 160s. My 280 Rem killed well with 150s. I am starting load development this weekend. 140 Accubond and NBTs to strat then 160 Accubond, They said it right, 150 works on about everything, 140 for deer 160 for bigger.
I am now using 175-grain Nosler Partitions in all my 7mm caliber rifles these days. But I have no real evidence that they are even needed, or indeed, as good as a good 150 or 160 grain bullet.
I had tremendous results last weekend at the range with 62.5gr. of H4831SC and 140gr. Swift A-Frames. The accuracy was equal if not better than my Accubonds or NBT's. Not too bad for a premium hunting bullet.
