I have kinda always wanted to build one. Saw a photo in Col. Askins book with him and a muskox that he took with his. I was just wondering if anyone else had one. I am sure it is almost identical to the Remington version for all practical purposes. Thanks in advance.

I don't have a 8 mm WM , but just to add some info, I have two different 8 mm WM cartridges in my collection. One is simply the 300 WM necked up without any other change, the other is somewhat modified without the rounded Weatherby shoulder

I've got a 323 Hollis in the works, which is the 308 Norma necked up to 8mm. I see nothing about the Weatherby case that's attractive when the 8mm Rem is SAAMI. I prefer std length over the long mag actions anyway.

323 Hollis sounds a lot like the 8mm PMM. The 338 Win Mag necked down to 8mm. - dan
