I hear you...had no idea the wait would be so long. So, it looks like a 375 bbl blank, and then chambering to 375/338. Any chance we could use a 338 Win reamer and a 375 throater?

Yes, I waited a year for my .45/70 M1886 to be redone from a .33 WCF, and over 18 Mos. for my .450 Alaskans from .348's. This from the old Atkinson & Marquardt Rifle Co, in Prescott AZ. Many moons ago!! But their work was outstanding!
Absolutely nothing wrong with cutting the boddy of the chamber with a 338 reamer, and then cutting the neck and throat seperately. It negates the need for a custom reamer, and many smiths will tell you produces a better chamber as well.

I've only used one reborer and as I understand, the set-up time for each caliber is substantial so if only one 375 project comes in it may have to wait around until some more arrive. This and the fact that there are so few people good at this cause the long delivery times. On the otherhand, if you send in a barrel at the precise time that your desired caliber is in process, you can be pleasently surprised by turn around times. In that regard its a luck-of-the draw thing, too.
