Tried F-Class for the first time last weekend. Dropped a 9 at 1000 yds, and blew my sight setting for 900 yds(first shot for record was a 7) and cleaned the rest of a Palma course! 15 shots each at 800, 900, and 1000 yds. F Class is with a scope and a rest on the ground. Last 11 shots at 900 were Xs(10" ring). My .243 LSI is a short 244 Rem Ackley Improved. Shortened down to 243 length, so I can use Lapua cases, but with the 244 long neck and 40 deg shoulder. 38.4 gr 4350 and a 115 gr Tubb boattail gives me about 2950 fps. Even better, I built the rifle-PacNor 30" barrel, Rem 700 action, bedding block bedded into a Savage BVSS stock, with a Super Sniper 16X scope. Low budget job.

Good shooting Lanny. I always thought the LSI was one of the better 6mm wildcats.

Great shooting, and I appreciate the description of the cartridge. I shoot 4 different 6mm's (6PPC, 243 Ai, 6 Rem, 6/284) but haven't been to Bearsville!

cheers

You didn't miss much-we used to have a general store, and a PO. Now we just have a PO. And a few bears. AND some #%&** yuppies moving up from the Rotten Apple, who think the bears are cute, and we shouldn't shoot them.
