FYI The cases made from .308 RP brass had to have the necks turned. Neither the .243 RP cases nor .243 Win cases needed neck turning. roger

FWIW Roger, I've found that many rifles start to do their best grouping after a couple hundred rounds are fired in them.

The first 100 went through it and it really is performing nicely. So far everything has been for fire forming, the pressures don't seem to be out of hand, there is still room to move, and it looks capable of duplicating the .260 especially with the heavier bullets. The next loads will be with cases that already have been fire formed yielding a little extra capacity and the energy previously used to form the case will now result into added velocity.Fun project so far. Opened up the thumb hole a good bit and don't seem to be bruising my knuckle. The 2-7 Reddfield is just great,I think, for a hunting scope. Probably a little restrictive for fine target work and smaller groups. For this rifle ,however, it works. roger

I was quite impressed with that scope. IMO it compared favorably with the Leupold ultralite for about 1/3rd less money! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.
