Anyone have one of these? Got bit by the wildcat bug and thinking this would be a screamer. And no i am not worried about barrel life. Just looking for a little first hand expertice. Thanks!

I am looking at the same caliber. Pac-nor has a reamer so someone must have done it already. I am looking at one of their barrels in either 3 groove or polygonal rifling (to try & get some life out of the barrel) on a Savage 110 action. That's about as far as I have gotten...

My .240 Incinerator is very similar (6mm-264 Mag Improved). There's an article on my website if you're interested.

Thanks Lee. Read the article, I think the 240 has a little more capacity than a 6mm-WSM but performance should still be pretty good. Any estimate of barrel life? I like the Savage because u can basically order a new barrel and just screw it on when the old one wears out. I am concerned about so much powder with such a small hole for it all to get through.

It's hard to say. The first Incinerator we built still has the original barrel. After roughly 300 rounds, it continues to shoot great (nowadays, it's only used for ground hog hunting....I probably put 10-15 through it a year). We built a second .240 in '96 and it lasted for close to 800 before the barrel went. With proper cleaning, I think 500 - 600 is a safe estimate.
