Anybody still use one? Over here you can't kill anything with one but I still have the best fun plinking with my .177 Air Pistol, Beeman P1 over there I think, HW 45 over here. Got a few others but that's my favorite. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

It seems that max velocity is about 400-450 FPS and most like to run on CO2 cartridges.... Personally, I'd like to see a little more velocity.....maybe 750 or so! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." That would have to be a Pre Charged to do 750 in .22 but mine is 650fps in .177 8.4 gr pellets. I can hit a 35mm film can (that we have to ration now that film is gone) at 25 yards pretty much every time, on a good day 35y. I hunted a lot with air pistols in my younger days. I've got a Hahn 45 BB revolver that is maybe 55 years old. Just got it out to look it over. That was back when Westerns were very popular on the early TVs. I even have it in a leather "Fanner 50"(Cap Gun) holster. It is a dark Black with "Genuine" fake staghorn grips. And as well as I can remember it needs a new O-Ring and Silicone Grease to seal the neck of the CO2 cartridge. Just happen to have some new O-Rings and a new set of Picks, so that may get done - eventually. The Trigger is actually pretty good on it. Releases with maybe 2.5# of pressure and just a minute bit of creep. Six shots and I do not remember how long one of the small CO2 cylinders lasts - when the Seal is working properly. It "twirels" good after a Fast Draw!

just received a refurbished Browning 800 Mag yesterday and plan on sighting it in today. factory specs say 600fps in .22. we will see. it has some sort of anti-recoil mechanism inside. shot it a few times yesterday and there is very little recoil but it is a heavy pistol for sure and fairly loud. certainly sounds powerful though. bought it on airgunsdailey.com for $96 delivered. will chrony it when i sight it in and post results.also the .177 version is advertised as 700fps. Should get 40 or more shots out of a CO2 bulb. A revolver usually wastes more gas then the auto pistol types. The Makarov is a good fun CO2 BB gun. http://www.umarexusa.com/produ...-BB-Pistol,33,40.htm For power and accuracy look for an old BSA Scorpion or a Beeman P1 / HW 45. This is the new "Diana" version of the Scorpion but not like the Real Thing. http://www.pyramydair.com/p/RW...-magnum-pistol.shtml This HW 40 is a seriously accurate little gun, hardly any recoil, it uses a "Single Stroke Pneumatic Action" but lower power. http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/HW_40_PCA/47 "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

well, the Browning 800 Mag is a 3 1/2 lb paper weight. advertised velocity- 600 fps. actual vel 385fps, at least with 14.3 gr Crossman domes. i suppose i could live with that except it is the most inaccurate gun i have ever shot. had to get 5 yds from the target with a solid rest to even put the pellet on the paper. at that distance i was 6 inches low and 2 inches right. used up all the available elevation adjustment in the sight and was still 2 inches low. the elevation screw was out so far that after 5-6 shots, it popped out and was lost in the dirt. so now - no sights!!!. off course it doesn't matter because EVERY SHOT HIT THE TARGET SIDEWAYS(KEYHOLES)!!!!! CAN'T SEND IT BACK TO AIRGUN DEPOT BECAUSE LIKE I SAID, IT WAS REFURBISHED AND CAME WITH NO WARRANTY. i repeat- a 3 1/2 lb, $95 paperweight. Hey JDollar, That is real bad. You really have nothing to loose by "cleaning" the Bore and seeing what happens. And Re-Crown with a small "Round" Emery stone on a Dremel Style Tool. Before everyone gets in a dither about Home-GunSmithing, I've used the Round Emery Stone before and it turned a worthless piece of scrap into a fine shooter. Just "wobble" the stone around as it is turning to prevent Grooving the Stone. And don't grind until you reach the Receiver. Take a magnet and see if you can locate the Screw. Most of all, don't let it get you all upset. Life is Good and Bad events, we just seem to remember the Bad moreso. You can always "give" the Browning to your best buddy!

That gun should be WAY better than that. Unless there's something obvious wrong, I wouldn't do more than just clean the barrel real well. Then 20 shots with the same pellets to lead it in. Have you shot AT LEAST a whole tin of pellets first sometimes you need a couple of tins to work it in. Are all the screws that haven't been lost tight? You could get a better spring, or maybe shim that one a bit. See the targets below ... http://airgun-academy.pyramyda...ag-%E2%80%93-part-6/ "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

Darn right.....something is critically wrong and it should be obvious by simple visual inspection....look at the muzzle for example! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." thanks for the advice guys. i only managed to shoot about 25-30 shots for i lost the screw and with it the ability to elevate the sight. from reading the links, it is obvious that Crossman domes are the worst pellet to use in this pistol, so i guess i will clean the barrel, try to find a replacement screw for the sight, order some RWS Superdomes, and shoot the hell out of it. maybe it will come together- if not, there is always the paper weight option!!! after a little internet research tonite i have just about talked myself into a Benjamin Marauder .22 PCP pistol( due for availability in Nov). it gives me 2 months to work on this WPOS and if it doesn't come around, i will cut my losses and go the PCP route. it is nice having my own compressor and not having to worry about filling a PCP gun. prelim testing of this pistol are very encouraging- a nice balance of quietness and power- plus it comes with a red dot scope and stock extension- all for $200 less than the Evanix AR6 Vote Trump- Putin’s best friend… To quote a former AND CURRENT Trumpiteer - DUMP TRUMP

I checked with the local fire department and they do have a pump and if I can furnish a tank they said they'd fill it for me..... So.....where do I get a tank.....and how much... air guns aren't cheap it seems! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." Cheap Airguns are Cheap. Nice guns are not cheap, but will last a lifetime or more. The best Benji pistol is prob the CO2 one Benjamin EB22 .. 5.5 foot pounds, and SS so you don't use up so many CO2 bulbs so fast. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

The local fire department will help me fill my tank.....may I assume I can get a tank at the local welding shop? I'd sure like to know more about this pistol /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." You may get one in a welding shop, but you want it full of Dry Air, or Nitrogen or Empty. If not, then a Dive Shop or Mail order. 12 liter 300 bar bottle is best, if you can get it filled to 300, they may only have a 232 bar compressor. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

That Evanix AR6 is a nice Rifle, quite cool double action for fun fast fire. If they do a similar pistol for only $200 more than a rubbish Benji, I wouldn't have to think too hard about which one to buy. I find the pistols with an air tube just too poorly balanced, bad enough in a rifle but the pistols are way too front heavy. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

I have a RWS 6M recoilless match pistol, but darned if the piston seals didn't go out on it a year ago. I bought it so when I had an apartment in the city I could target shoot from the living room to the kitchen and not attract any attention from the neighbors. Moved back to the country and put it away for a number of years and the last time I took it out it was pretty wimpy. So just what I need, another project laying around... for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

the best place to buy an scba tank is on ebay. i got my 44 cubic foot carbon fiber tank with 7 years of usable life for $120 delivered. a 44cf tank will give you a LOT of refills in any PCP( more than 30 in most guns). both Evanix AND Benjamin are making PCP pistols. go to Pyramyd Air's website for more info/prices. You get very few shots at 8/900 fps from a PCP pistol. Like 10 or so, before it's dropping power. That's why mine have found new homes. If your moving around you can't carry a tank. You need a small "Buddy" Bottle set up for walk about. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

Hey all, This is my personal Pistol, which I carry everywhere, I go ..!! The .25 cal (w/ 2x20 Millet Pistol Scope) will provide all of the power to harvest any small game, within reasonable distance (approx 35 yards). My .25 cal Theoben Rifle, can fill in @ longer distances (50 + yards). http://theobenusa.com/eliminator.html PAPI
