Two years ago I put a fancy stock on my old Sheridan air rifle, and had Mac1 put the steroid kit on it and add a peep sight. Then I gave it to grandsons. My son-in-law is a contractor in one of the building trades and borrowed it to shoot some pigeons in a location where he was building a house. He found it worked so well on pigeons a good distance away he now wants one for himself. That Sheridan has the thumb safety one must hold down while pulling the trigger, which I prefer. He would prefer to get one with the "rocker safety". Anyway, I would like to find one in good condition on the outside, even if it needs rebuilding on the inside as he would probably want the steroid kit put on it. Do they come up for sale often? And what's the best way to find a good one?

Gunbroker is one option:

You could also put an ad in your local paper, we have an "advertiser" type of paper that it is free to put ads in, you probably get one too.

for every hour in front of the computer you should have 3 hours outside

I have not seen the safety you have to hold down--what year is it? Mine was old when I got it in the late 80's and it has the rocker safety.

I think my old Sheridan with the "hold down safety" was about 1961.
