A mate got his first gun the other day he's 14, we managed to get him to have the patience to save for something decent, it was tough for him but he managed it.

He bought the HW 91 .22 break barrel gun.
It's a brilliant little gun. It's only 600 fps due to poxy laws, but that's JUST enough to hunt rabbits with.
Within 200 shots it was hitting 35mm film cans at 25y offhand easy with a AGS 3to9 scope.
That's what we zero .22s with 12 foot pounds ME at.
Tonight I'll have him working out his hold over and under. Then maybe hunting on the weekend.
