Anyone use one of these how do you like it?

Probably in .22cal

I looked at these years ago if I get one it will be with the air pump they make.

I also like the idea of the rifle being quiet so I can shoot it without spooking off the squils, or predators.

Give me your opinion good or bad.

i had a Talon SS when i first got into PCP's are few years back. it just couldn't get comfortable with the ergonomics. AF has since changed a few things and maybe they are better. for sure the AF pump is junk. buy a Hill pump or better yet, a scuba tank. less work, more play time and about the same cost. you will be constantly rebuilding the AF pump if you allow it to heat up( which means stopping FREQUENTLY during the fill process). also take the noise level claims with a HUGE grain of salt. AF claimed the same thing with the Talon SS. and it was true-AFTER I MODIFIED THE HELL OF THE SHROUD INTERNALS( adding baffles) and put a TalonTunes silencer on the end.power equals noise and only so much can be done to mitigate it!

budget??? this is crucial but i would seriously consider a good used Air Arms 410/510 for under $700. if money allows, go up to a used Daystate HuntsmanXL ( my Favorite) at about $900. make no mistake- in higher end PCP's (AA, Daystate, FX) they are NOT going to be cheap. as an alternative, if you want to try a PCP and see if you like it, a used Benji Marauder can be had for $400-450. obviously not the quality of the better rifles but a good introduction to PCP's. people tend to think of air rifles as the pellet guns of their youth. this is certainly true if you buy a piece of GAMO junk. bear in mind though, that i have 6 Daystates and the cheapest one cost $1300( going up to $2700). these ain't the pellet/BB guns you grew up with and quality costs. if you just want to shoot an occasional rat/squirrel, save yourself some money and buy an RWS 34, 45, or 350 Magnum break barrel( and a VERY good scope designed for them, as they will beat a "regular" air rifle scope to pieces in short order).

concerning used PCP's -google the "yellow forum" classified ad section. you will find a large selection of used rifles, usually at very good prices...
