I just bought a Benjamin Marauder in 25cal. I don't even know where to begin...this gun is unbelievable! I have been shooting a gas-rammed Beeman R1 in 22cal for years now and I can say that they are as different as night and day. After shooting the Marauder the R1 seems like you are shooting a muzzzleloader right after shooting a modern sniper rifle. The Marauder shoots into 1 hole at 30 yards and is deadly quiet...at first I thought that something was wrong with the gun since the report is so different than anything I have ever shot before. Today I shot 5 crows and 2 pigeons...it's almost creepy, just hearing a slight "ping" and seeing the pellets impact on the bird. There is only a slight jolt/vibration on firing. That 25cal JSB pellet hits so hard that the crows I shot just dropped and didn't move. Also, my 1st time using a side-wheel. Just read the range off of it and adjust holdover...unbelievable! Marauder is shooting JSB 25gr 860fps--22cal R1 680fps with Kodiak pellets. The R1 is for sale!!

I'd hang on to the R1 till you work out how reliable the new one is. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

Welcome to the club! Glad you like the Maurader...its a monster. I have close to a thousand rounds through mine and it has'nt missed a beat. It puts a hurting on little critters for sure. Try one tin of the Eun jin 43.2 grain pellets. They hit HARD and are the most accurate in my rifle.

Thanks Fellas!! I am using a 3000lb SCUBS Tank...so far so good. Yes the Marauder is a monster...Specialist, you are correct (regarding your advice) but I can't ever go back to the R1 after shooting the Marauder. Killed another Crow today, and I still cannot believe how hard the pellet hits. Maybe the lack of report and absence of recoil make it seem even more incredable, but I still can't believe how awesome the gun is, and those 25cal pellets are huge.
