Years ago I picked up a beautiful Crosman 1100 Trapmaster CO2 powered shotgun. Of course, loaded shells for it have been virtually extinct for 30 years or so. So I messed around reloading some using styrofoam for wads, etc. Messy and impractical, though effective. Then a brainstorm came through.......the bore of the gun is.380". I.D. of the shells is .375. A piece of 000 buckshot over an oiled cotton T-shirt patch conveniently seals everything nicely. The first few test shot have the gun putting the 000 pellet completely through both sides of coffee can gauge steel to 15 yards or so and with reasonable accuracy. I have a local machinist replicating a handful of the original plastic shells in brass as I type. I may have just saved the old Crosman's useful life. Founder....the OTPG

You could kill a deer with that.

You'd need a very cooperative deer. "When doing battle, seek a quick victory."

Someday when the temps get tolerable and I'm not knee-deep in snow, I'll chrono the thing. Hopefully the patch material will not interfere with the readings. I did a little more goofing with it yesterday. It is accurate enough to hit a regular sized Campbell's soup can to 20 yards with boring regularity. I'm not planning any deer hunts any time soon...... ....... but it oughta be purely hateful on small game. Founder....the OTPG
