I have received 3 9mm caliber air rifles. Two are from FX and one from CRICKET. Have only shot one of the FX, and was very impressed with it. Pellets are available from 77 grains to 178 grains!!? I was able to load and shoot pellets up to 95 grains. Heavier than that they will not fit in the magazine. Also, the magazine cut out will not allow the loading of the 178 grain, as t is too long. But, that is of academic value, as I was able to load the 130grain pellet. Not enough velocity to use, as the pellet just drops to the floor a few feet in front of the barrel and bounces up on the concrete. Here are the velocities I got, after I adjusted the rifle for maximum velocity. 77.62 grains 906 fps 141 ft.lbs. 81.02 grains 895 fps 144 82.0 grains 890 fps 144 85 grains 865 fps 141 95 grains 805 fps 136 Pellets were from JSB, H&N and Nielsen. The JSB Exact shot very well. The Nielsen were not bad, but not as good as the JSB. The H&H were just plain awful. I will post all the results once I am done.

Hello Saeed, please keep us informed. If possible, could you add also information about loudness, if testing different airguns with different pellets? It could be easy to use some cell phone app or any cheap decibel meter. Many airgun users would like that info. Thank you Jiri

Using an app in my iphone. Phone was placed in front of me shooting, next to the trigger guard which is basdically right in front of my face. 117 dB with the moderator on. 119 dB without.

One can adjust the power quite a lot on this FX rifle. And it does affect the accuracy too. Pellet drop also becomes pronounced once the main pressure drops below 150 bar. In 22 caliber rifles, I remember the drop starts once the pressure gets to a 100 bar. I am assuming this is because of the much heavier pellets.

Saeed: Thank you for measurement. Someday, if possible, when you will fire any .22 LR, measure that for comparison purposes please. I don't know what FX you have. On mine, there is "power plenum", I have .177 and I set power plenum pressure to 100 bar. So if in the main bottle is 100+ (it must be actually a little bit over 100), it works. If it is 100 and lower, it begin to drop velocity. So that main pressure threshold is dependent on pressure you set on power plenum. At least on my FX. Jiri

I can’t recall any JSB pellet that did not shoot well for me. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Keep coming back to this thread. The accuracy and power sure are impressive. Would love to hear hunting/performance reports from field experience. There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author
