I had a go with a .177 one the other day. I can highly recommend it as a mid price springer.
It cost £240 and is so much better than ANY of the BSA / Gamo rubbish they are doing at the moment.
Cocking is smooth, open sights are good.
Trigger is really nice.
Straight from the box it was a joy to use. After it's run in and tuned up a bit it will be competition for the Air Arms etc. costing twice as much.

I have an HW 55 and it is a fantastic air rifle. Extremely accurate and powerful enough to do anything an air rifle should be asked to do.

The only thing I don't like about it is the guy I bought it from put a Chinese aperture sight on it an it's elevation is maxed at 10 meters.
