Help with Crosman c1k77X. Quest break open wood stock. This is a cheaper version that GM had on sale last week. I tried one and it show fair until I tried to get the scope to adjust. The scope was in focus at 50+ yards but closer it as really off focus. I redid the focus and could not hold any pattern. I fig that the recticule came loose with all the adjustment it to to get into focus at 15 yards. Took it back for a replacement and the next one did not do any better. The scope focus is way out and this one slings pellets all over past 10 yards. And yes I shoot well enough not to colverleaf anymore and more but stay well within an inch at 100 benchrest. Now with this scope I get two pellets one place and then 3 flyers at 18 steps all over the paper. I was better off shooting the old bb gun I practiced the old Nam no sights quick shoot techniques. Anyone tried thes 100 dollar pellet gun?

Tried another scope and different pellets and not much difference. guess it is time to take the gun back to GM and get my money back and find another gun that can hold a pattern.

Jim Tx---Dont know what type scope you have, but unless it's an air gun scope it is probably set to focus at 50+ yards which is about useless for an air rifle. If you cant see clearly you wont shoot good groups. I tried several scopes,to include Leupold compact 2x-7x with poor results. Finaly bought the Leupold compact 3x-9x with EFR---extended focus range that will focus down to 10 meters. Also had to buy an adjustable mount for my RWS as the way they are set up,there is not enough adjustment in the scope. Problems solved once I got those two items.

I gave up on this gun. I had tried two. YOu are right the scope does not focus near close enough. But the other fixed 4x did not help either neither did the flat face pellets. Still looking for a cheaper gun that sill holds a grouup.
