Does anybody make a patch holder with a oversized hole to accomodate enough cloth to clean a 375 or 416? Prefer something with univeral threads so I don't have to buy another rod... I have jags and a bore snake, but still prefer to run patches back and forth through the barrel. Jags can be such a pain.

Wish I could answer your question but can't.. What I have done is to take a .30 cal slotted jag and use a screwdriver to open up the slot so it will accommodate the amount of patch material necessary to get a tighter fit in my big bores. Not perfect but works like a charm.

IMO, use a jag.

The only thing a patch holder can do that a jag can't is dragging a patch back through your bore. You don't really want to be doing that.
