Wipe Out is the only thing i have used for years. Have a 416 Rigby soaking overnight right now.

It is slow, but by far the best I have ever found. It gets it ALL out in a overnight soaking. I always push the big stuff out first with a conventional solvent a few times first. Dry. Then shoot the WipeOut and let it sit overnight. Push out the next morning. Done. Wipeout works great on copper bullet fouling. I still use a bronze brush and other solvents to remove the powder fouling. J&B bore paste works best of all IMHO... DOUBLE RIFLE SHOOTERS SOCIETY

I'm also one that sprays Wipe-Out in the barrel, let it sit overnight, then patch out the next day. Wipe-Out does not contain ammonia, so it will not harm the barrel.

. I used Wipe Out during prairie dog shooting. Let barrels soak in it while taking breaks for lunch or just a lull in the shooting. Used it at night. Soaked before dinner. Then clean out. Soak all night. Clean out before breakfast. Soak while eating breakfast and clean out afterwards. Thought heard some folks suggesting it caused rusting. .

I've been using WipeOut for years, leave it in overnight all the time, never had any rust. I've even forgot and left it in for several days without a problem. http://www.sharpshootr.com/wipeout.htm

I just used it on three guns. I could not believe what came out of one of them. I did a one hour soak on two guns then cleaned them and hit them again for an overnight soak. I can't wait to go to the range tomorrow and give them ago!!!

. Is removing copper, lead, and powder fouling from a barrel a good thing ? We work so hard to get in the barrel to begin with. .

I shot a three shot group at 100 yards with factory ammo. They were 3 inches and after Wipe Out one inch!!!

When it's time to clean I love wipeout. But, lately I've been able to extend my time between cleaning immensely with a pass of a boresnake about every 20-30 rounds.

. If you stop shooting at paper targets and at long distances... You will not notice any improvement from cleaning. .
