I won a can of the new Royal Purple Maxfilm spray lubricant. It is said to have "superior wear protection" and "prevents rust & corrosion" and is "long lasting." I was wondering if anyone has used it on their guns and how you liked it? It said it is recommended for "guns" among other things. It is also said to be a "synthetic penetrating lubricant." It is supposed to be great, at least according to the radio talk show I was listening to. Unlike other penetrating sprays that don't lubricate, this one is supposed to leave a superior lubricating film. Red C. Everything I say is fully substantiated by my own opinion.

It works very well as a rust preventative. Let it soak for a while into the metal if possible.

Is the colour of the spray actually purple? I'm worried it might stain the stock wood it some got on it.

I wonder if it's any better than common synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid. It lubes good, good penatration and film strength, resists rust and leaves no gummy surface film when it finally dries, as ALL LIQUIDS DO.
