I posted this question in big bores but perhaps this is a better place. Are there any problems with using a Hoppes 416 bore snake in a 450/400 or would a 410 shotgun bore snake work?

Grafton, call me a tighta**, but I have 1 bore snake that I use to clean my .45-70, my .44 mage rifle, and I used it to clean my ruger no 1, 450/400. I think you could use either one, and get along fine. Mad Dog

Thanks. I did not think it would be an issue but I thought I would see what others were doing.

Hey, I've never thought about the .410 boresnake for the .450-400! Good idea, as I have one of those too! What's the boresnake recommendation, then, on cleaning the .470 NE?
