midminnesotaCopper cleaner/ solvent gun cleaners?
Hello I am curious what everyone is using for copper cleaning solvents. I have tried barnes, butches bore shine, sweets 7.62 among others and was feeling like it was a lot of work to clean my rifles after shooting them. I was working up some loads for one of my buddies and he gave me some cleaning solvent to clean his guns with and so I used it for his rifles after firing them between load development. I was impressed at how easy it was to use and it did not have the ammonia smell that I hate, and apparently my wife hates even worst ( every time I used it she let me know). I started using it my rifles and now have bought some and will never go back to any of the others again.
sorry so wordy. The gun cleaner of choice for me from now on is Gunslick foaming bore cleaner.
here is the web sight, check it out.

500NIf you reckon gunslick is good, go to the Original WIPE OUT - or as it is now, Wipe Out Patch Out which is easier to use but does
just as good a job.

What, between Wipe Out and Wipe Out Patch out ?
Wipe out is a Foam Bore Cleaner
Patch out is the same stuff but in liquid form - just put it on a patch and push it down the barrel and then leave it. It's just easier to use.

winbag338Too much info and opinions makes my head spin. 30 years ago or so they were able to clean bores well enough without all the hoopla and solvent choices we must slog through now.
It would seem my so-so cleanings with the new hoppes non-stinky formula works.

AmmoloaderI've used many popular copper solvents. The best I've found is KG 12. It takes the work out of cleaning.
The link below shows comparisons between KG 12 and a good number of other solvents including Gunslick and Wipe Out.
