There better not be, I've been using Wipe Out on my stainless match barrels for 10+ years. Wipeout is fine. You can leave it over night! You may be thinking of the horror stories of Sweets in SS barrels mate! "When the wind stops....start rowing. When the wind starts, get the sail up quick."

I have mostly SS guns and have used Wipeout for about ten years. The only effects have been clean barrels and more time to shoot. The gunsmith who built my custom guns also uses and recommends it. Sei wach!
