Planning trip to Africa 2007 liked his prices most include airfare. Anyone have anything to say good or bad or otherwise?

Knew him for quite some time hawking Africana at shows. He is one man show, I don't think well experienced hunter although is a South Afrikaaner. He got in the middle of a booking I tried to do several years ago and ended up mkaing it so difficult/expensive I bagged it!!...I still regret that, left a bad taste too.
Being a first timer, I would either use one of the highly expereinced agents: Atcheson's, John Barth-Adventure Unltd or go to SCI at the end of January and meet the people you will hunt with...ie directly, NOT agents. Then check references very well, and put up another request like this one and ask for comments...you will get them....remember cheap hunts usually are just that...cheap outcome. If I was looking for a great South African hunt I would chose Dinaka Game Reserve with Johan and Nadien Bosch or in Zim John Sharp Safaris at Malangani. I have hunted both and you won't be disappointed!!

Pdkillr, I hunted with him in Zim in 03. He had a fantastic package deal I could not pass up.
$3,800 for eland, wildebeest, kudu, zebra, impala, warthog, duiker, steenbuck, and baboon. I shot all but the duiker,steenbuckand, I didn't want a baboon. I took some nice animals. It was one heck of a deal. My friend Steve Cantfield and his friend hunted there last year and had a good hunt. They lost some of the properties they had when I hunted there so check the references for 06 carefully.

I understand from a friend of mine who booked through him that he books for a Ph by the name of Tim Schultz and his operation African Dream Safaris. I understand that Schultz has a good reputation as a PH and goes the extra mile as well as being a straight shooter. My friend was a first timer and he said that his hunt could never have gone better, he took some fantastic trophies and was well looked after.
