Web Site:http://www.maclaren.co.za/ Pictures from this trip. http://amosgreg.home.netcom.com/GregHunt1.htm PH/Outfitter: Selwyn Lowe Area Hunted: Zululand Dates: June 21st - June 28th 2001 How hunted: Bow Only Species Obtained: Impala Species Viewed/Stalked: Nyala, Impala, Blue Wildebeast, Waterbuck, Common Reedbuck, Warthog Report: I had a GREAT time for my first African Safari. Conditions were tough as it rained the night I arrived and also a little on the first morning. This put the animals off the waterholes as there was enough water lying on the ground. I had several good stalks on Wildebeast but no shooting opportunities from the ground. I blew a shot at one from the hunting car as I hadn't taken into consideration clearing the lower limb of the bow at the time of the shot. Nyala was my primary species and I missed a nice one after a long stalk due to an arrow eating tree. I had several other close but no shots were presented.
