The splint came off last week and I have six weeks of therapy to go yet but I got a clean bill of health and will be trying to get some venison for the freezer this week. I really do things in a big way - ended up with two operations and six pins. I was upset the docs wouldn't let me keep the pins to mount with the trophy. And yes, I can't wait to go back. Of course, I also have this little bug in my ear to try New Zealand and down under. Isn't it nice to dream? Thanks for the reply. As soon as I figure how to post photo's I'll get some up.

Sounds like a terrific safari, notwithstanding the mishap.

Your perseverance is remarkable, BTW. I think that, with a broken wrist, I might have called a halt to things and headed home to heal up.

But still, I'm glad it paid off for you. Some of your best hunting clearly happened after you had your "break"--if you'll pardon the miserable pun.
