Thanks for all your kind words. It means a lot to me. The key to getting a few good photos, for me, is to snap constantly. I came back with over 1200 images, many of them rubbish. The new Panasonic FZ28, which I read about on this forum, in my opinion, is an absolute winner.

Rob, my hyena was shot from the same location as your leopard three years ago. Thanks for the loan of your family.

Awesome leopard Marty – congrats! Beautiful coat which is going to make for a stunning mount. The ups and downs described are the perfect ingredients for a memorable leopard hunt.

Sorry about your buddy’s luck, a failed cat hunt is no fun...been there. But it’s all part of it, and I hope he gives it another shot.

Rob perfectly described my lingering reaction to your report…homesick. I appreciate the “bonus pictures”, and no descriptions necessary!

Is Buzz getting younger or what?

Glad the Panasonic camera worked so well, I will be trying mine out soon. I took some picts this past weekend at an indoor graduation, and afterwards outdoors, and it did a fine job. 1200…that’s impressive!

Good job to all, and thanks for the report!

What a treat and a primer to read this report! My son and I are heading out on the 26 May to hunt the BVC for the fourth time, this time for leopard. Leopard hunting is my favorite of all african animals. I liken it to "Hunting a Ghost", you never see them until the moment of truth and you better have your ducks in a row when it happens!
Great report!!!

Great hunt, nice report, good photos and an excellent leopard. Well done Buzz! Your hunting skills are far superior to your cricket skills!

What a beautiful cat. Congrats

I love my Panasonic camera. I too have to take a lot of pics to get a few good ones.

I need to stay of this forum, it just makes the itch to return worse!!!

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.
