As some of you already know, I have been in an epic hunt with Lindon Stanton in which I was lucky enough to shoot 2 big lions and 2 fantastic dagga boys in just 7 days. This could have been even more epic if is not for problems I had with another operator, I am waiting to his final step to have the story complete, hope he can somehow fix what in my oppinion was big mistakes he made, lets see the end of it. But, as for now, I can already let you know how happy I am to have met Lin Stanton and Corris (Gache Gache concession holder) and join them in this fantastic safari which was a real HUNT in which I could shot beutiful wild animals and also I was lucky to be able to help people around, which is another of the main things we hunters do in our safaris. During this fantastic hunt, my new friends Lin and Corris, help me out in bringing meat to schools and learn more about problems there. Thanks also to Tiny, Johan and son, BBB and the great bunch of hunters camarades I met on this trip. Unfortunately, our footage for the hunt was not perfect, but I know Lin is working in our next safari for 3 lions on 6 days, and for that he will make sure we will get a perfect footage :-) At this moment, I want to beging this report with this video link. https://youtu.be/K6NDV0n7wCY That is a conversation with Corris that I think is very interesting, it is mainly in English, I now first minutes is a Spanish introduction but it will just take a couple of minutes, please, be patiente and watch it completely if you have the time. At the end of that video, Corris is introducing the idea we have regarding bringing a grant for best student of each classs every year, so we can help them make it up. Also a grant for the last grade kid to help him to get a course on whatever he wants (electricity, electromics, mechanics, nursery, drivers license, etc) All the money will go directly to suppliers (uniform makers, course producers, school fees, etc) I have paid myself to beging with that project in one school there, but that is nothing, I am asking your help, as hunters, to help the kids fill that educational gap they have, and proof how hunting is helping once more. I think this idea will be easily presented to press and politics around the world as a success and will help to present HUNT as it is, a way to help communities and preserve wildlife. I know marketing guys will for sure make it better, but for now I have thought in this name for the program: Trough Hunting Education Grant African Program (THEGAP) So we can say HELP US FILLING THE GAP I would like, with your help, and all operators in ZIM, and also from other countries in Africa, to extend the program extensively. It will not be a lot of money, lets say 1000$ per School aprox, but it will give them a good lesson in how hunting are directly helping them and also a good lesson in how trough effort, you can always find a help. I would like operators to identify all schools inside their hunting areas and to get the exact numbers needed to implement the program on each one. I am sure if operators give us hunters the chance to participate on this, we will be happy to do it. And knowing hunters as I do, I am pretty sure we will get even more money than needed. Because hunting is also education. Hope we together can beging helping in filling THE GAP. More videos and explanations to come... tomorrow I am travelling for a brown bear hunt, so give me some time. Best regards

Thank you Andrew. I will push for it, but is something that need support from all hunters and outfitters if we wanted to do it as it should be. I guess around 1000$ per school should be enough according to my findings. I know we can make it. Lets show to the world all the work we are doing for conservation and helping rural areas inside our hunting áreas. Any idea or inquiry any of you might have, please, let me know. WE HAVE TO DO THIS. Best regards

That is good news. I have been in touch with several ph and outfitters and they said nothing like this was working nowadays. Neither I have never been offered to collaborate on something like that before. Can you explain a bit more how is that initiative working? I think that is something that all of us are interested in learn about. Best regards

If I may, I would advise NOT parting with sums of money to Village Leaders or local Government officials but rather identify the immediate needs, e.g. wells/boreholes for clean water, schools at Primary level and maybe additional classrooms where required, dispensaries which can cater for basic health needs, etc. Once identified, get a recommended person to conduct a survey of the requests to confirm, obtain a feasibility study and then employ a professional to provide and be paid for the service rendered. Once the particular project has been concluded, arrangements for a televised "handing over of the keys" to whom it may concern can be put in place then splash it all over the media.

Holzer, what you explained in your post is very nice BUT is not at all what I am talking about. Will keep you all posted. This is a program for the education on schools. This is New idea and it looks great in my opinion. Money will be directly used to pay fees, uniforms and specific courses. Best regardd
