Thanks Anton for posting. I will do a write up in a few days. Hunt was in Dande South with Bruce Watson who I have now hunted with 4 times. Thought you guys would like this one buffalo. I have never seen bosses or drops like this on a buffalo I could shoot before. The other buffalo was solid as well, just not as impressive. The cow of course we shot for bait and by now you have seen Wendels posting on the African Wild Cat.

Really happy with my lion as that was the main quarry and came late in the hunt. Hard to see in photos but yes, his nose is black.

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

Larry, Great lion and nice wildcat but damn that is a really nice buff. Great bosses, length, and drop all in one. I am sitting here being jealous for sure. Sorry I didnt make it to Detroit this year. I was proud of my elephant at 54 lbs per side but would have shadowed this. The drinks are on you this time unless the gods smile on me in a big way. Any thoughts on your taxidermy yet? I csnt wait to see the results.
Excellent hunting my friend.
Mike

Very nice lion and buff Larry. My son and I enjoyed meeting you at the Afton House if only for an hour or so.

Well done,
Russell
