Hey Members

I'd like to share some pics of a recent Elephant Back Safari.
Brad and Chas from Ohio booked a week with me, they wanted to do something
out of their comfortzone and I booked an Elephant ride.
The B&B we stayed at

Plane that took us over the mountain

Transport to the Lodge

Getting on the Elephant was fun

Restaurant

On our way back to B&B, myself, Brad and Chas

Regards

Most of the guys on here just want to shoot them, me included! My wife rode one on her second trip to S. Africa with me and absolutely loved it. Looks like a nice place to stay.

Having spent time around Zambezi Valley elephant, it might be a little outside my comfort zone. Looks like fun to me. Probably keep mum about hunting them, though.

My wife has been on an elephant back safari while we were hunting in Zimbabwe.

Very brave girl, she married me!

Note to self. Never do the elephant back safari in shorts.

Looking at the way the rear body is sitting on that Land Rover, its probably safer riding on the back of an elephant .... even in shorts! Big Grin

I was actually expecting a traditional elephant back hunt for some animal in high grass like the good old days in India!!

I am surprised that they do not have a saddle with rope frame to hold on to. All Indian elephant rides have these.
