ChrisTroskieLever Action Safari 2007
Last year I reported on the annual Levergunner hunt with five lever action enthusiasts. Well, between June 3rd and June 10th we did so again and this time no less than 10 hunting clients and 3 observers joined us on the hunt. I thought I’d share some of the pictures taken with AR members.
Not everyone hunted with lever action rifles. Mark from the UK brought his .450 NE double – custom built by himself and bolt action calibers brought on the hunt included a .375 Ruger, a .338, .270 and .300 Win Mag.
We hunted 2 of my concessions near Lephalale in Limpopo Province and had an awesome time taking some great trophies.

Nice pictures, I already have heard some of the stories, as Regan Nonneman is an old high school friend and hunting partner for between 30-40 years. I'm sure he got a kick out of hammering some game with the .38-56 that he built.

yukon deltaI was invited on that hunt but it was the same time as my tuskless hunt in Zim. Regan built the rifle I used on that hunt. Jim and the 2 Tom's are also friends of mine. I know they had a good time.

I'm sure you've enjoyed the rifle Reg built for you. What is it? How was your tuskless ele hunt?, I am thinking about one of those after I get the cape buff on the ground next. Also where are you in Ak?, I am heading your way- start hunting Sept 9th flying out of Kotzebue primarily caribou, but moose as well with a little luck.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Yeah, we sure had a great time. Seeing you couldn't make it this year why not join us in 2008? Check out
