OK, last year was our first trip to Africa, and we had such a great time that we had to go back. A few weeks ago we returned from our second trip. Here are a few pics for you all to enjoy. By the way, we hunted in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Note: the pictures are 'clickable' to see larger versions.

My wife's first African animal, second animal ever (she shot a whitetail deer last fall). It's not a very big Impala, but she wanted to get her feet wet. Smiler

Her second animal, a Warthog.

My first animal this year, a jackal.

Now that she got her feet wet, she gets a larger Impala and Warthog.

Her fifth and final animal, a Blesbuck. She had to stop as she was making me look bad. She had me 5 - 1 at this point. Big Grin

My Impala...

Bushbuck...

This Duiker came to a predator call just before dark.

Zebra...

I did lose one animal, a nice Kudu. It was my only animal lost in 2 years, and it happens to everyone at some point, but it still stings. Especially since the PH estimated it to be about 54".

We also got to help shoot a few Impala that the one landowner wanted for meat.

Probably the best part of the trip though was that we were up close and personal for a Rhino darting. A vet had to dart a Rhino and treat a wound. Once the Rhino was down, we got to approach just a few feet away and take some pictures. It was very cool!

We can't wait to go back. Hopefully all goes well this year and we can get round 3 next year.

We're going to be "gifted" with a health care plan we are forced to purchase and fined if we don't, Which purportedly covers at least ten million more people, without adding a single new doctor, but provides for 16,000 new IRS agents, written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that didn't read it but exempted themselves from it, and signed by a President, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, for which we'll be taxed for four years before any benefits take effect, by a government which has already bankrupted Social Security and Medicare, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke!!!!! 'What the hell could possibly go wrong?'

Yeah, Riaan took good care of us two years in a row now. He and Stefan are loads of fun to hunt with.

His kids are a lot of fun too. Little Ruben (spelling?) 'shoots' the mounts on the wall after dinner. They teach them young. Smiler
