Butchloc,

Congrats on a great attitude. Looking at your lost/destroyed hide as a reason to go on another safari, almost makes you wish they'd lose something everytime so you can keep going back again and again. Bet you have a great hunt.

Mine aren't lost yet but in August when I dropped my trophies off at the taxidermist in Namibia they told me that it would be 4 months to get them (end of December)

While hiring my Customs broker last month the taxidermist said that it would be February before they got delivered.

Today the taxidermist acknowledged receiving my shipping instructions with the message that they hope to have them done by April or May. (But, no promises)

Oh well, that's Africa!

Seems my ground squirrel hides were mis-handled. Maybe I can get another trip as well.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate luck!! I wanted to share a positive out come with shippments out of Namibia. I departed Namibia on Aug 2nd 2008. My hides and skulls got to Coppersmith on Oct 26th. They are awaiting final inspection to be forwarded to my Taxidermist here in Scottsdale, AZ Should be any day now. I figure that is a pretty good turn around! dancing
