No problems with Safety at all. The problems in Mali to the North have been contained there and not spread over to Burkina. There is absolutely no tolerance in Burkina for Islamic rebels and such nonsense. It's a stable government unlike Central African Republic. However you may take it, Burkina Faso when translated means "Land of honest people". The hunting and safari business there is very small and I found them to be very uncorrupted overall. It's hard to describe but the commercial feel that one gets in Southern Africa is refreshingly not there in Burkina. There is no mass tourism, you are very unlikely to run in to the stereo type safari tourists. No junk shops. The owner of the concession is very well connected as well! All this said it is Africa at the end of the day and my feeling is enjoy it while you can! Arjun | |||
