Hello All. I am working on a report for the season, but am pleased to be able to say that overall it has been a great season with all our American clients taking buff, roan and antelope species. I have just returned from spending a month there hunting with clients and also got in a bit of hunting myself. Here are some photos from my trip: Lioness we saw coming home one evening. She was unafraid and a bit too close for total comfort. Bubale or Western Hartebeest Dust Devil Tribal markings on one of the skinners. For a bit extra we can include this in your hunt package. Lion kill - baby buff. Except for the little one room shed behind us this place is right in the bush. I like to sleep there some nights, its in a remote part of the concession and good for buffalo and lion. A Burkina Lass Carrot seller Given the new rules carrying guns - we have some good camp guns for our clients now I bought a couple of chickens to feed the sacred crocs of Bazule Note the chicken in his mouth Stupid or not I took a chance Supposedly there are 200 crocs in that small body of water. I was told I could swim there quite happily. Thank goodness I left my swimming trunks at home otherwise I might have been tempted! Roadside entertainment He has done his apprenticeship at H&H in London Happy clients, anyone recognize the guy at the back. GD with a nice buff Kids from the local village with Kob de Buffon. IN BF by law the local villages get a third of every animal shot. This fellow joined us for lunch, he was walking around like a tame chicken! But everyone including me was deathly scared of him! Client transport to camp Buffalo I shot in the middle of a dust storm, we couldn't see the sun for 2 days, it was like fog. Shot with 416 rem, CEB bullet lung shot, went about 60 yards and dropped. He was covered in mud Average weight of a Savannah buff in kilos Spur of a Egyptian spur wing goose If I am not mistaken that Grimms duiker is way up there in the record books! 12 cms horn length. Another photo of him Very old bushbuck taken by a client An old roan I shot with a 30-06, 180 grain Nosler around 200 yards. I was very impressed with the performance of the 30-06. It dropped at the shot, got up and ran 50 yards and died. Low shoulder shot. BF is the absolute best place to shoot Roan anywhere in Africa and also the CHEAPEST. It's not going to last forever do it while you can. Crazyness!!! In closing Burkina Faso offers a unique hunting experience for those hunters who have a bit of an open mind and a bit of experience. If you are expecting a South Africa style hunt take Burkina off your list. We still have a few good dates left for 2015-2016 season. Cool stuff Arjun. On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
