BuffHunter63Pictures are okay, but hunting is waaay better (much like the difference between sex with a beautiful woman and sex with a magazine - better than nothing but not by much!).

BlacktailerCamera safaris are fine if you aren't a hunter, but if you are a hunter you understand how much the camera folks are missing.
When we went to Tanzania we spent 10 days on a camera safari seeing the various national parks then went to the Selous hunting. People sitting in the backs of Land Cruisers bumper to bumper in Ngorongoro on roads that are 3 inches deep in dust think they are seeing Africa!

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

wp07I'm a big fan of camera safaris myself, but mainly as a supplement to a hunt or as something to do if I've got time left over.
