This is my first attempt at posting pictures so hopefully this works.

Looks like they all turned out well thanks to T. Carr's info. I first tried Sony's Image System but all pictures were not coming through. Then I switched to Photobucket and it appears to have fixed the problem.

We had been hunting bushbuck for several days as we were setting out leopard bait but had seen only females. Then on the day we decided to concentrate on bushbuck we saw four in a row, starting with a small ram and working up to this guy. I was very glad I waited as this one measured over 15 1/2 inches and has very good coloration.

The Sable we hunted hard for, walking 3 to 7 miles for each stalk. Then we went up on an escarpment and almost reached the end where we were going to have to turn around and come back when we spotted this big bull on the opposite hill. I was able to make a heart lung shot at about 275 yds. with my .300 Win. Mag. and was very pleased. He measured 39 inches.

The next day we concentrated on cape buffalo and hunted a large herd estimated at between 3 to 400, trying to find a split off group of dugga boys. We hid from cows, crab crawled and hunted the thick jesse all morning but could not find any large bulls. The wind changed and the herd picked us up and stampeded, I swear the ground shook or maybe it was just me shaking. We broke for lunch to let them settle down. I don't remember even tasting lunch, my anxiety level was pretty high by then, but I saddled up as the "Duke" would say and took out after them again after lunch. This time we found a small group of dugga boys off to one side of the herd and moved into position for a shot on a good bull. The shooting sticks were placed and I put a .416 Rem. Mag. behind his shoulder 1/3 of the way up at about 60 yds. He jumped and turned the opposite direction from where he was headed and galloped off. I thought I had hit him hard with that shot but we did not know what shape we would find him in. No waiting for a cup of tea, we moved out after him and had to go down and back up a rivine to get to where we thought he was. When we creasted the bank my PH, Pete Fick, and I were side by side ready for a charge but fortunantely the bull was facing broadside to us about 30yds away. I shot him four more times with the .416 moving closer with each shot before he would go down, certainly got my adrenalin going. I finaly had my old dugga boy that I had thought about for years and had come to Africa for. His horns were 38+ and had 14 inch bosses. Down the length of one side of his face he had two long claw marks that gave him a lot of character.

I had intended to only shoot a wart hog for his tusks until I ran across this "old bull" he measured nearly 15 inches a side and will get a full shoulder mount and a place of honor.

I had always wanted a klippie but had not had a chance at one before. Hunting him up in the kopjes was a lot of fun.

I promised my daughter a zebra rug but I think I will give her the large one I took in RSA and have this one put on a rug and bound with leather. There are almost no shadow marks and the hide has very interesting detail.

As I mentioned before I did not take a leopard althogh we certainly tried hard. So that gives me a good reason to plan an elephant and leopard hunt in the future.

My PH, Pete Fick did an excellant job putting me on game and we did not lose one animal. He is a very dedicated hunter, all business when hunting and a lot of fun around the campfire. The Mokore outfit was first class all the way and very helpful.

Well, I was able to pull out the URLs from the original post and pull up the pictures, but I can't get them to show up here.

I tried putting links to the pictures and I think the problem may be that the picture host does not allow direct linking. If I cut and paste the URLs the pictures come up, and as long as they are still in my browser's cache they will show up on your post. But otherwise they do not show up and links show an error message when you click on them.

The pictures are very nice -- looks like you had a great trip.

Thanks for the feedback Charles, I guess thats why I can pull them up on my computer. I will try to get the pictures to another host like Hunt 101. For some reason when I tried that before I kept getting a message that said the picture exceded their size limits and Hunt 101 would not accept them.
