eyedocI just tried the link and it seems to be working now.
We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

bwanamrmWhat does this have to do with a Hunt Report?
Seems it belongs in African Travel.
On the plains of hesitation lie the bleached bones of ten thousand, who on the dawn of victory lay down their weary heads resting, and there resting, died.
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch...
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
- Rudyard Kipling
Life grows grim without senseless indulgence.

N E 450 No2Many people that go to Africa to hunt spend the night or two in Jo'berg.
A lot of us stay at The Afton House.
I have stayed there three different times two nights each time myself.
Service and accomodations were perfect, in every way.

Idaho SharpshooterAfton House is where you stay, after you clear customs, then the next morning your PH picks you up and you head out to hunting camp. Or, your PH drops you off the last evening before you fly back home and you can unwind with some good Cuban cigars and some adult beverages...
It is an integral part of the safari to many of us.
Option B: Louise checks you in, then George takes you over to Luxus to get your Cuban cigars and a bottle of Amarula.
