The last time I hunted in Kwa-Zulu/Natal, we came across quite a few of those huge scorpions. I mean they were the size of jumbo shrimp! My PH said that those big suckers weren't too bad, the ones to look out for were the little black ones, about and inch or so long. [Eek!]

Gentlemen,

In 1994, we were hunting in Zimbabwe right next to the Zambezi River.

We were following some elephants, which tok inland. As we followed them to a slight rise, we came across what looked like dozens and dozens of dead scorpions! They were everywhere, all lying dead within feet of each other.

It was pretty amazing sight.

On the same hill, we saw a number of snakes, including a black mamba.

I don't think I would like to spend the night on that hill!
