Nice buffalo.

Interesting to see you with an open bolt in the picture. Here in NZ that is the ONLY way to carry a rifle if one is not actually hunting.

I know of some fellow hunters who will refuse to share a camp with anyone who has a closed bolt (uncocked) in a camp rifle.

I like the bull and the bolt open.

Open bolts save lives. Simple as that.

I have started taking mine with me when I inspect a target at the public range.

When I had my own range, I'd pull it out and place it on the shooting bench to keep myself from getting shot.

Occasionally we need to protect ourselves from well..... ourselves.
