The camp was very well appointed and under the supervision of Mr L H Oliver and Mr. Johan Human. Cooking was done by "Ollie's" lovely wife Petro who had a never ending supply of great game dishes for the twelve days we were in camp. This was my third hunt in RSA and Tom's first one. If the old saying about Beginners Luck holds true then Tom is a poster child. On the 3rd day of the hunt he managed to bag an honest 59" Kudu. I told him there is only one way to go from there. Weather was good, a cold front had just moved through and it was chilly the first couple nights but warmed up later on. We both took good Gemsbok and Zebra, Tom also held true to form and took an exceptional Blue Wildebeest and Blesbok. The property is crawling with good Warthogs and I took three, one was a dandy. We enjoyed great food, friendship and the African experience for 12 great days. Anyone looking for a good outfitter for a Plains Game Hunt should give this outfitter a look. I will be going back.

Let's see a picture of that kudu and 54" impala! Brett DRSS Life Member SCI Life Member NRA Life Member WSF Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick. And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too. May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep. May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip. -Seth Peterson

Thanks for the thoughts guys! The spider bite has pretty much run its course. The bite site has healed leaving a small divot in my back that they say will eventually go away. Still not sure which species got me but it was not a lot of fun for sure. Funny thing was, I dont even know when it happened. Probably the night before we left for home or on the plane itself, I will never know. I will try to email some pics to a more techno savvy person so they can post them if I have any volunteers?
