Hi!

I wonder if anyone knows what happened to Brooklands in Zim? I was about to book with them for this spring (they sent some lovely brochures, price was OK etc) but they just stopped answering emails. Did the goverment run them over?

cewe,
I ask myself the same question, I used to book some hunts with them and was very satisfied with Barry and I did see him at Dallas this year...

However, under the circumstances I have not tried to book for them as I did not receive answers to my eamails and as a result have sent all my hunters to Paul Zorn with Indulamathi, and all for the good I might add, as I couldn't be more pleased than I am with Paul...

I suspect something is wrong at Brooklands, but don't know what. Perhaps they have completely gone to photo Safari, as that was there main claim to fame all along...I know another booking agent that has also had the same experience that we have...Thats a shame as they were a good outfit.

Thanks for the reply Ray. They sure must have done a quick turn around cause I received brochures in the mail (nice ones) and was already detailing the hunt when they went incommunicado. How safe is it in Zim at the moment? Boha and I are looking for a buff-ele hunt for -05, were on a budget so were open to most any ideas. No luxury needed.

I hunted with them a couple of years ago, and subsequently exchanged emails with Paul Welock, one of their PHs and an all round top bloke.

I did recieve a strange email from Brooklands a few weeks ago. The message made no sense other than a line stating they had computer trouble.

The were, and still are, I hope, a first rate outfit.

Cewe,

There was a guy from here in my home town who was scheduled to hunt lion with them this year. Two days prior to his trip he got notice that they could not do the hunt. He ended up going up north in the Zambezi Valley somewhere. They gave him no reason that they could not do the hunt. I am not quite sure what that means.

John Barth
