On April 19th I finnished my second hunt with Leopard Lodge near Windhoek. The hunt this year featured a fine eland bull and a high scoring blue wildebeest. I also bagged a Hartmann's zebra and a nice oryx. My wife and 82 year old mother-in-law came with me. The staff spoiled the three of us, especially my mother-in-law.
Their Email is:leopardlodge@namibnet.com. Web page is:www.leopardlodge.com.
The cape eland, according to the PH Klaus Tietz, would score about 81 or so in the SCI Record book. The Blue wildebeest, he said, is one of the largest taken in Namibia, about 17th place. I'll have them scored after the drying period.
It was a great hunt, featuring many long and difficult stalks. I booked for next year, hoping to top the 56" kudu I bagged last year and to take one of the outstanding oryxes we saw this year.

I'll try to post some pictures. And Leopard Lodge is first class and the prices are reasonable. Klaus Tietz, the PH, is a stickler for fair chase. There were times when we crawled, crouched and slithered for more than two hours to get a shot, but it was worth every minute.
