L. David KeithChris, I've scanned through your report several times and must say I enjoy each visit. Thanks for posting this. I can see how it would be a hunt of a lifetime. Surrounded by Saeed and crew has to make it even more special.
Cheers,
David

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Kamo GariEnjoyed that thoroughly; thanks for taking the time. I, for one, really enjoy the kind of blow-by-blow details you gave. Congrats on a great hunt. You are one brave sonofagun, though: if I was on a hunting trip (one where I was away from the wife specifically) and penned the words you did, something to the effect of "there's no place in the world I can think of that I'd rather be", I'd have to sleep with one eye open once back home!

Thanks again. Great report.
Oh, and Saeed's little nut trick was positively diabolical and cruel. I love it!

When I first saw this posted, I decided to "save it" to read just before my trip, to put me into the proper mindset, and as a reminder-to-self of how to go about getting the most out of a safari. I never want to lose the excitement and intruque, or take for granted how fortunate I am. Well done Chris, very nicely documented - thank you for an inspirational and refreshing report.
I'm all set!
