Scott KingKim,
I thought it was great that you're friend Kay was able to join you. He looks to be in fantastic shape and I'd guess it was a thrill for him to be on safari in Zimbabwe.
Congradulations on a fantastic hunt.

Scott:
Kay is a rather fascinating guy. His biggest problems in life stem from his girlfriends. One of them is 34 and she is very jealous of the many women who darken his doorway. About four years ago we were sailing his sloop off the coast of Florida when the main halyard fouled at the masthead. Handing me his beer, he rushed to the mast and proceeded to climb it, hand over hand, until he reached the mast truck almost 45 feet off the deck! By the way, he just turned 90.

Congrats on a great trip and a nice trophy buff. 42" on your first will be a tough act to follow. Good luck on your future trips!

MARK H. YOUNGKim,
Beautiful buffalo particularly for your first hunt. It's quite obvious from your smiles that you, your wife and friend had a great trip. So glad you got to go to the Victoria Falls Hotel. It just reaks of "Old Africa" and is a must see in my book.
Congrats,
Mark

dougaboyKim,
Sounds like you had a great hunt. Thanks for the report.
I hunted for buffalo with Mark in the same area (different camp) in 2006. Kevin was with us for a few days before leaving to test for his PH liscense. Looks like he did OK.
I agree with you about Mark being a great PH. He worked his tail off for me. The game was fairly scarce on my hunt so he had to really push. We had a great time, though, because he is good company. I had also hunted with Mark in RSA (2004) and look forward to another safari with him in the future.
Your report brought back many good memories.
Doug

silwaneGreat hunt and report. I have hunted out of that same camp in 99'. Looking at your pictures brings back a lot of memories. I remember every manner of creature came to water at the dam below the fire pit every night.
Congrats on a gret hunt.

Die Ou JagterKen, I don't usually read hunting reports, but reading this report brought back memories of Binga and Marko. Seeing Kevin and "skinny" Gavin is a hoot. I think the camp you hunted out of had one of the Chalets collapsed (one hellish wind storm) in 08 when I hunted Binga with Mark and Kevin, we hunted out of the camp on the shore of the Lake and the Sengwa River. I was hunting Hippo, Elephant, Chobe Bushbuck and Sharpes Grysbok. You never know who you will pass on a two track in the Valley, eh. Cheers, see you in Dallas.
